I love to go hiking, even in the Winter, as long as the wind is not too chilly. The past few days I have been out working on our trail doing a little clean up. We have a great 1 mile trail on our beautiful 20 acres of Texas hill country. We are surrounded by thousands of acres of ranch land, so I feel like I am in the middle of wilderness. Star Kitty, is our official hiking guide, so she has been watching over my progress.
There is also something about a winter hike that has it’s own beauty. With all the leaves gone from the trees, it just seems to me that the sky is a little brighter blue and the birds seem to fly closer to the tree tops.
If you love to hike, we hope you will come stay with us, hike our trail and then visit the great trails at Lake Brownwood State Park also. Get out and enjoy the beautiful days.
