Well, you will so love our little Oak Cottage. This was the first b&b cottage that we built in 1998. We really thought this would be the only one, since folks told us, “No one will come to Brownwood to stay at a bed & breakfast”. Well, they were wrong and we found out folks love coming to stay at Star of Texas Bed & Breakfast.
This cozy little Oak Cottage sits secluded behind our main house. It is the most private cottage, has a great front porch to enjoy your breakfast or just sit and watch the deer graze near by. The interior has a beautiful hand forged head board that Don made. The Oak leafs and acorns were a true labor of love to make this headboard so beautiful.
The stone tiled shower is large and the unique hand sink is a one of a kind pottery piece thrown for us just for this little bathroom. The large picture window is great for gazing out over the 20 acres of swaying Oak trees that totally surround the cottage.
We deliver a full hot breakfast to you each morning for you to enjoy in your jammies if you like, no other guest to have to mingle with here.
The Oak Cottage has lots of special things about it that I love, and maybe since it was the first we built, it still is my very favorite. We hope that you will come and stay in the cottage and experience true Texas Hill Country hospitality.
