We welcome you to Star of Texas Bed & Breakfast for short-term housing as well as lodging for longer periods of time as an alternative to extended stay hotels in Brownwood, Texas. We are perfect for the traveling professional of any field. We can make arrangements for a week or months and will price accordingly.

The Cottonwood and Willowbend are set up as the main extended-stay rooms on the bed & breakfast property. Please see the description on our rooms page. We are a country bed & breakfast inn, but within a 15-minute drive to most destinations in Brownwood, TX. We have satellite TV in the rooms and satellite internet.

 The Star of Texas Townhouse is a restored Bungalow style house turned into a duplex. It is located in the heart of downtown Brownwood at 705 Carnegie Avenue. These two fully furnished apartments are set up for the professional in mind, all bills are paid, your apartment is cleaned for you once a month and the yard is maintained. We do allow well trained dogs under 35#'s with pre-approval, there is a limit of 2, and must be current on all shots and house trained, and we charge a $10 per pet per month fee. ( I love cats, but we do not allow them due to several past problems).

  Apartment #1 offers a comfortable living quarters for your Brownwood extended stay, with Mission style furnishings. The kitchenette is great for cooking for yourself.  There is a queen size bed, closet and night stand in the bedroom area.  The living room has comfortable furniture and you have satellite TV and wireless internet.  The bathroom has a tiled shower and there is a stackable washer and dryer there also. 

Apartment #2 at the duplex is a larger apartment.  A full bedroom with queen bed and chest of drawers and closet.  A full bath with  tiled shower and stackable washer and dryer. The living room has comfortable chairs for relaxing after a days work to watch TV or be on the internet and the kitchen has a wonderful country cottage feel to make you feel at home it's a great apartment for short term housing in Brownwood, TX.

We do require a contract on our extended-stay units with a deposit.
