Baked Creme Brulee French Toast

1 loaf sourdough or cinnamon bread

1 stick butter

1 cup brown sugar

2tbsp. light corn syrup

8 eggs

1cup half & half

1tbsp. Grand Marnier

1 tbsp. vanilla

1tspn. salt

Tear up bread in a large bowl, pour in the mix of eggs, half & half, vanilla, Grand Marnier and salt. Soak the bread in this. Melt butter in pan add brown sugar and corn syrup. Pour the butter mix in a greased 9X11 baking pan, pour the bread mix on top. Cover and refrigerate over night. Preheat oven to 350* and bake for 45 minutes. Cut and turn over on plate so brulee is on top. I serve with chopped nuts and tarragon sausage. This is one of my mosted requested receipes.
