If you love making rolled sugar cookies this time of year and decorating them with all the fun colors and adornments, then you will love this easy recipe. I am not sure where in my family this recipe started, but my copy has my sister-in-law’s name on it. I just know it is a good recipe and have been using it for years.
Rolled Sugar Cookies
Cream 1 cup butter and 1 cup sugar
Add 2 eggs, mix well.
Add 1 teaspoon soda dissolved in 4 Tablespoons milk & 1 teaspoon vanilla
Pinch of salt
Mix in 4 cups of flour, 1 cup at a time till blended. Knead the dough till it is smooth.
Chill 2 hours and then roll it out, and cut out designs.
Bake in at 375 for about 8 to 10 minutes. The dough or cookies freeze well.
