We love to send our guest to all the local places to eat to experience our uniqueness here in Brownwood. We keep a list on our website and in each cottage of our favorite spots to go.
One of those favorites is the Runaway Train. This fun dinner is set inside of a classic train car. From fun neon lights and a bar with round stools to perch on or grab a booth or table. The menu is a great one. From burgers to salads and fresh made soups. Classic sandwiches, fried pickles, tots, french fries and of course you don’t want to miss out on a Blue Bell milkshake. For a blow your waist bustin’ dessert, get the sundae, it’s ice cream rolled in toasted coconut and topped off with whip cream and a cherry.
You can’t go wrong having a meal here. Kim and her staff are a fun bunch and offer great customer service. They are opened Tuesday through Saturday for lunch and dinner. Just a short drive near me in town. When you come for your stay with us, be sure and plan on a trip to The Runaway Train Cafe.
